The Senior Regional Allocation Analyst is responsible for providing thoughtful store analysis that places the right regional product in the right stores at the right time.  This role is instrumental in driving sales and margin for one Region in the company through management and optimization of inventory.  The Senior Regional Allocation Analyst is a highly collaborative role that partners closely with Regional Vice Presidents, Area Managers, Visual Merchandising and Marketing.  We’re looking for a JD Finish Line store expert with at least 1 year of store experience and/or at least 1 year of JD Finish Line corporate experience in a relevant department.  This individual should effectively exhibit JD Finish Line’s core values of Customer, People, Winning, Community, and Financial Responsibility in everything they do while performing the following main duties:

  • Reviews weekly region sales performance and KPIs.

  • Proposes actions to recover risk and maximize regional opportunities with the Senior Director of Allocation at a department/store/brand/category level.

  • Assists in new store and remodel process; attends design review meetings, has a perspective on product needs and ensures stores open flawlessly.

  • Carries out monthly reviews of all new & remodel stores with analysis to support and propose action plans to Senior Director of Allocation to improve performance.

  • Monitors performance of stores pre/post actions taken to illustrate comp store gains.

  • Communicates regularly with Regional Vice President regarding region allocations, product concerns and opportunities. 

  • Manages weekly merchandise feedback, takes allocation action & communicates to field.

  • Performs store to store transfers and consolidations.

  • Manages in season region replenishment by proactively making adjustment recommendations based on sales trends, seasonality factors, visual merchandising strategies, and business needs.

  • Assists in development of pre-season region allocation strategies to maximize store performance.

  • Travels region quarterly at a minimum, reviewing stores at a top line level and managing actions across departments and functions upon return.

  • Has an awareness of competitor strategies and the impact on the region.

  • Creates ad hoc reports to support business; inclusive of, but not limited to, weekly sales and inventory reports to identify top stores and SKUs, as well as underperforming stores and SKUs.

  • Allocation expert, able to perform day to day allocation tasks, as well as ensuring best practices are being followed in allocation system.

Required Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Additional 3-5 years of previous merchandising/allocation experience required. Internal candidates with JD Finish Line experience strongly preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Computer and/or Technical Skills

Must have at least intermediate knowledge and abilities with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Google Suite.
