Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with established Skyland Distributing Company accounts and mutually grow our business.
  • This is a entry level sales¬†position that teaches you the basics of beverage distribution.
  • Merchandise orders together with a team and individually in Large Format Grocery stores in Western North Carolina.
  • Manage a strict time schedule and work ethic.
  • Make effective sales presentations of Skyland Distributing Company products when needed.
  • Identify opportunities for sales growth within new and existing accounts.
  • Work with our supplier partners to promote their products in the market.
  • Evening or weekend work may be required at times.
  • Prepare and present professional written and oral brand presentations.
  • Responsible for assigned quotas and placement objectives on a monthly basis.
  • Provides work itinerary and sales accomplishments to Merchandising Manager.

Education, Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

  • Valid NC Driver’s License with clean driving record.
  • Must be able to lift boxes 40+ lbs.
  • Must successfully pass both a physical and a criminal background check.
  • Proficient in the use of an iPad and Google Workspace.
  • Aptitude to market an extensive portfolio of brands for placement within assigned accounts.
  • Passionate about the wine and beer industry and a desire to constantly improve knowledge and understanding of all major wine regions, and imported, domestic and craft beers.
