About the team 

Retail Media is one of the fastest growing segments of the industries in which we serve. Likewise, it is one of the fastest growing segments of Ovative’s business. 

Ovative’s Retail Media Consulting team uses their diverse experience and structured problem-solving skills to solve tough problems for all kinds of media networks every day and have fun while doing it. The team works directly with clients to deliver leading-edge thinking and drive change across six areas of expertise: RMN strategy and management, sales and planning, product strategy, audiences and 1P data, measurement and reporting, and RMN Ad Tech and data solutions. The team has grown rapidly, expects continued strong growth, and is uniquely poised to leverage Ovative’s digital marketing and measurement expertise to delivering differentiated strategic advice and technical expertise to clients. This team is strategically paired with Ovative’s Retail Media Activation team bringing the buy and sell side together to unlock powerful unique solutions for partners.  


About the role 

In this role you will serve as an account leader for Ovative’s rapidly growing retail media consulting business. You will lead end-to-end delivery of retail media consulting programs comprising RMN strategy, product strategy, media, operations, sales, and measurement and reporting. You will build relationships with client leaders and C-level executives, enrich your expert knowledge, develop junior team members, and raise the bar for performance within Retail Media Consulting and throughout Ovative. 


Program Delivery 

  • Guide the development of high-quality retail media strategy programs by providing senior-level and expert input in problem solving sessions and crafting deliverables 
  • Coach and develop strategy project leads and more junior team members in their strategic problem-solving toolkit through the apprenticeship model on the work 
  • Bring forward the power of Ovative by collaborating with measurement experts, technology leads, and media activators to develop new client capabilities, execute strategic analytics and modeling, and help our clients grow 
  • Unite understanding of client vision, strategy, and culture with expert perspective on RMN industry dynamics to elevate project work 

Team Leadership 

  • Help lead the rapidly growing Retail Media Consulting team: manage a team and provide mentorship, development, and career guidance 
  • Train and develop team members to be able to lead top-tier consulting programs and deliver high-impact output for our clients  
  • Educate team members on nuances of the rapidly changing RMN industry dynamics 
  • Help recruit and onboard team members of all levels, provide input on training and development, help evolve our offerings 

Ovative Leadership 

  • Join the extended Leadership Team at Ovative: participate in several monthly leadership forums focused on team, business, client, and strategic initiatives; regularly interact with the founder and CEO on important efforts to strengthen and grow Ovative 
  • Engage in and lead strategic internal initiatives across Ovative, bringing forward subject matter expertise and structured problem-solving approaches to build our foundation for growth 
  • Support Ovative’s own strategy development and strategic planning process 


Skills and qualifications 

  • Experience in the RMN ecosystem, management consulting, or digital marketing and / or measurement for a Fortune 500 company  
  • Preferred 5-7 years post-MBA experience or equivalent  
  • At least 5 years of experience operating in RMN strategy, e-commerce, digital marketing, customer data and insights, or MarTech 
  • Industry experience in retail, healthcare, direct-to-consumer ecommerce preferred 
  • Proven structured thinking and problem-solving skills helping executive level audiences develop clear and actionable strategies to grow and develop their media network offering  
  • Strong analytics skillset with experience managing analysis of financial, customer, or industry datasets to inform strategy / solution outputs  
  • Excellent communication skills, including business writing, deliverable production, small group and large-scale verbal presentations, and visual storytelling 
  • Advanced client management skills and genuine passion for delivering the highest possible quality work 
  • An entrepreneurial spirit –with an ability to identify opportunities, drive progress, develop others, and thrive in ambiguous environments 
  • Experience building, leading, and developing teams with diverse team members from a range of backgrounds 


Pay Transparency

At Ovative, we offer a transparent view into three core components of your total compensation package: Base Salary, Annual Bonus, and Benefits. The salary range for this position below is inclusive of an annual bonus. Actual offers are made with consideration for relevant experience and anticipated impact. Additional benefits information is provided below.

For our Director positions, our compensation ranges from $177,130 to $216,492 which is inclusive of a 30% bonus.
