Summary:

Provides excellent guest service to casino patrons in a friendly, efficient and profitable manner that promotes superior staff, guest, and vendor relations.

Essential Functions:

  • Takes food and beverage orders; serves food and beverages to guests after it has been inspected for accuracy.
  • Assists with cashiering duties.
  • Stocks supplies for work area.
  • Performs daily cleaning duties; keeps wait station area neat, clean and sanitized.
  • Applies the first-in/first-out procedure (properly rotating, labeling, new and remaining products).
  • Assists with bussing responsibilities.
  • Performs work duties in a professional manner.
  • Maintains company, employee and patron information confidentiality.
  • Demonstrates initiative in fulfilling guest’s needs and addressing potential issues.
  • Provides a high standard of professionalism and guest service.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience in the food industry preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain a valid non-gaming permit.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a current and valid Washington State Food Handler’s Card.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class 12 MAST Permit or Class 13 MAST permit.
  • Must successfully pass TIPS training during orientation period.
  • Must be able to obtain ServSafe Certification within 6 month(s) of initial hire.
  • Knowledge and ability to operate point of sales system.
  • Ability to accurately compute basic math concepts such as addition and subtraction.
  • Ability to communicate professionally in written, verbal, and non-verbal format while portraying a friendly tone, word choice, and body language.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

  • Manual and finger dexterity as required to perform daily job duties.
  • Ability to frequently walk and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to frequently bend, squat and/or reach.
  • Frequently exposed to a high level of noise in the work environment.
  • Frequently exposed to tobacco smoke.
  • Sufficient visual acuity to write, recognize printed materials, computer screen, and notice non-verbal behavior.
  • Speech and hearing ability to project voice to small and large audiences, carry on radio/telephone conversations, hear and grasp verbal communications and equipment prompts.
