Business Development Vice President, Sales – Retail Vertical (Remote)

Job Description

The Vice President of Business Development will have the unique opportunity to develop, drive and close new business opportunities at major brands across the retail vertical. This role will partner with the Head of Retail Vertical Sales to refine Epsilon’s go-to-market strategy.   Successful candidates will bring a strong knowledge of digital and data-driven MarTech/AdTech; understanding of the challenges facing retail marketers; and a pattern of successfully developing and closing enterprise-level sales opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Contributes daily to Epsilon’s entrepreneurial, creative, client-first culture
  • Sets a strategy for development of the retail vertical sales territory for all major accounts
  • Interfaces with client at all levels within prospective accounts. and consults with key stakeholders to fully understand their needs
  • Identifies and leads the pursuit of the targeted new business opportunities within major retail accounts. Leverages a client-diagnostic sales strategy and consultative approach to uncover client specific issues and/or opportunities.
  • Identifies and manages resources to develop proposals that position the full range of Epsilon’s capabilities & solutions to solve client challenges
  • Collaborates with Epsilon’s executive team and subject matter experts to jointly present proposals
  • As a result of the above, successfully exceeds annual sales targets and enjoys Epsilon’s lucrative variable compensation plan

Requirements:

  • Strong personal and professional character, integrity, and commitment to doing right by Epsilon’s clients and Epsilon associates
  • 10 years of relevant experience within integrated digital and data driven MarTech/AdTech solutions.
  • Consultative selling focus, with a track record of developing opportunities and closing business within the top tier of Retail companies
  • Knowledge of direct to consumer and direct to practitioner marketing programs
  • A solid understanding of a diverse set of MarTech, Digital, Data and Identity-Driven marketing.
  • Strong business, communication, and presentation skills
  • Organized with the ability to manage & track multiple priorities. customer relationship management is a strength.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others across the organization to accomplish team goals
  • Drive to deliver value to clients and to help shape and build a fast-paced, growing organization

Salary Range: $170,000.00 – $190,000.00 plus commission
