Position Overview

The Seasonal Sales Associate is a temporary position responsible for assisting in the execution of customer service, operational and merchandising functions that occur within the store for our peak holiday selling season (Easter and Mother’s Day) during their assigned shift. They are responsible for providing excellent customer service to every guest.

 

Major Responsibilities

  • Provide an exceptional customer service experience to all customers
  • Assist in driving sales to achieve and exceed store and personal goals
  • Enhance brand loyalty by driving Ashley VIP credit card and capturing customer data
  • Serve as product knowledge expert to educate customers
  • Assist in merchandising, display maintenance, and visual changes to enhance the selling floor
  • Ensure neatness, cleanliness and maintenance of store including stockroom

 

Experience, Knowledge, & Skills

  1. 3- 6 months prior retail experience
  2. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  3. Excellent computer skills and ability to use a POS register system.
  4. High level of initiative and accountability

 

Essential Work Requirements

  1. Ability to lift, push or pull up to 30 lbs., frequent bending and stretching
  2. Stand for periods of 4-8 hours per shift
  3. Use ladders or other equipment, for the purpose of store and merchandising maintenance
  4. Work a flexible schedule to include holidays, weekends and/or evenings
